I recently bought a house, and in my linen closet, I found eight metal rods attached to a holder. The metal rods have a hook at the top that attach to the holder, and an oval at the other end. The rods are thin, about a foot and a half long, and hang on their holder in the closet.
I’m not sure what this is for, so if anyone knows, do let me know!

I’m going to the beach tomorrow. Can I use a bed blanket or a flat sheet as a beach blanket to sit on?
I guess it’s a two part question. I have a pretty good idea on how to hand-wash clothes, but any tips or ideas would be great. The second/main part is, how do I get stains out and how do I get the ring around the collar out? I’m kind of new to this – being spoiled with washing-machines and all, but some can’t go in there. Oh and the shirt is white and has my name stamped on it by a press or whatever in blue, so I don’t want to lose that. There are stains elsewhere on the shirt. Thanks.
I have a friend who is a backstabber. How should I deal with her? We have the same set of friends and if I confront her, I can imagine her making me out to be a drama queen or something. Any suggestions?
I am planning on putting metal eyelets on some of my clothes (all are made of cotton) with an eyelet setting machine. Can I wash them in the machine, or do I handwash them?
Also, can these eyelets rust? If so, should I be setting them into my clothes at all?
