Isn’t it fun when you care more about keeping things clean than they do? His parents should be putting a waterproof mattress cover on the bed, and maybe they should get two so one can be in the wash while the other is in use. For the stain and to eliminate or reduce smell, try an enzyme cleaner, spray on and blot dry. They make those for pet stains, and you should be able to get one, probably cheaper than at pet places, at a janitorial supply place. I have one that also does a fabulous job at removing stains from laundry. I buy it at a place that sells in bulk so I don’t know the brand I’ve got.
use the upholstery tool of your shampooer clean the spot make sure you suck up as much moisture as possible let a fan blow on it until its dry then get a water proof pad to put under his part of the bed
