What ever vacuum you purchase, make sure that it uses a HEPA filtration so that it traps all the microscopic dust mite debris found in the bedding and does not spit it back out into the air you are breathing.

I couldn’t see from your post where you are but if you are in Australia give vacuumspot a call. The link is below. Basically because a mattress is so thick you will need to have a machine that can generate a decent amount of vibration as this will help loosen the skin cells & dust mites you want out (get the food out and the dust mites will not breed). If this is for a domestic application then a hoover with a powerhead will work or a 2nd hand kirby or rainbow in good condition would be better. If you are thinking commercial then a kiby or a kerrick with a powernozzle would be your best bet in my opinion.
