Where is a good place to buy affordable sheets and comforter sets that will not cost me an arm and a leg?

You can get good sheets at any store that sells sheets. The trick is the thread count. Anything less than 300 is crap. I usually only get 400 or more. They are better quality, feel great, and last longer. They are a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Target, Walmart, Bed, Bath and Beyond (with coupon).
Wal-Mart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond
Wal-Mart and Target are have pretty reliable budget items. Bed Bath and Beyond things are pretty nice and reasonably priced, though probably more than at Wal-Mart, but they often have 20% coupons to offset that.
Penney’s usually has terrific sales in August. Last year I bought a Chris Madden comforter for my son. It was $300 but had been marked down so many times I ended up paying less than $50 for it, including tax. I was so happy.
Check the stores’ websites. This is the best time of the year to buy bedding. Every store has sales so you are sure to find somethhing you like.
