Why can I not find old fashion percale sheets, the ones that feel cold when you climb into bed?

I thought that was because the bed was cold. I put old fashion percale sheets into the search and came up with these sites and there are others you can check out. Nextag.com; michellewilley.com; garnethill.com; and gardenweb.com. Hope this help. Roxanne

Percale just refers to the thread count of a sheet not what it’s made of. Percale is 200 thread count or higher and can be any blend of fibers.
Finding sheets that have a "gloss" to them will make them feel cooler too. Sheets that are a blend of cotton and polyester is more like the old fashioned sheets. Those sheets can be purchased here (I suggest the 250 thread count ones):

Using fabric softener in the rinse cycle also helps coat the fibers making them feel really soft and puts that "gloss" to them.
