could a pool float work as an air mattress?
in a couple of weeks i am going on a mission trip and we are staying inside a church (with tile floors)
for about 5 days. We were told to bring a air mattress or air bed to sleep on for that week. but i dont exactly have to get a air mattress so i was thinking could a pool float like this work for a week

and i’m only 5 ft tall so it would be long enough for my body.

I will never go to a "Link" for obvious reasons so why don’t you give details of your float here Like what is it made of, is it Cork or Polystyrene or a Fabric outer rubberized with an air bag inner.?
Having said that why don’t you lie on it for a few nights to test it.
I actually tried the exact same thing on a camping trip with little luck. I certainly wouldn’t want to do it for a week. Search local listings to see if anyone is selling one used, just be sure to check it for leaks before you leave for your trip.
I found a resource that may help, they review different types of air mattresses and also list where they found the best price.
Good luck!
well you have to think about inflating it. air beds come with a convenient pump. floaties may leak during the night and you may have to blow it up with your mouth every time.
air beds are also thicker/firmer and less squeaky. don’t want to look strange being the only one sleeping on one.
if i had to choose between the two, i’d choose the intex (first) one. it looks thick enough for you to be comfortable.
