Very small teen hangout?
Okayy so in my backyard we have a very small room that no body ever uses and my dad told me I could turn it into a little area for my friends and I. The room however is seriously like the size of a king bed, maybe a little longer but thats about the width. So I know that I cant do much and it probably wont be that great,, but its worth a try(:
The walls arent finished so I was gonna staple old sheets to the walls but thats kinda lame.. Any better ideas(We cant get the wall finished so dont suggest that). And I was gonna put our old tv and dvd player in there on the floor or a shelf. The floor is wood so should I paint it a cool color or get a cheap rug? (suggestions for where to buy a CHEAP rug would be great)
I was gonna get bean bags for the floor. My dad told me he would make shelves out of wood that I can paint and put on the back wall. I was gonna use the shelves for dvds and snacks etc.
Also I can get a mini fridge for sodas and stuff. Any ideas for where to get a CHEAP mini fridge?(:
I have like no money and my parents dont wanna pay for anything sooo anything cheap would be great. Also Im pretty good at making things so homemade item suggestions would be cool(:
Thankss(:
And there are two small windows, I was gonna try and sew curtains. Where could I get cheap, small rods?
Or could I staple them all along the top of the window and tie them off the sides of the windows…? Haha help me pleasee(:

thrift stores, ross, marshals, tj-maxx, all good places to get things cheap. bean bags can take up a lot of room though. if you just get a cheap soft rug to go on part of the floor and a bunch of throw pillows of all different sizes you can make that your floor lounge, then you can move the pillows around, or sit on them, lay down and use them for your head, put them against the wall and lean on them. also, for the walls, just cover up the parts that arent finished with posters, memoboards, corkboards, really cute picture frames, try to put everything on shelves, it gives you more floor room and since you can paint them that will add some color to the walls. paint the floor. it would be great just to have that little extra color. christmas lights could be good accessories, you could always get different colored bulbs so that it gives off colorful light. and it saves the space that a lamp would take up. you could make a beaded door hanger too. for a more fun feel. for your curtains. stapling it would be just fine, and save you money. or you could find anything around the house you dont use anymore thats tube shaped and recycle it and use that.
this is a very cute fridge but it doesnt hold much. but there is a switch on it so you can either keep what’s in it cold or warm which is great! for 50 dollars

hope i helped!!
make it the smush room ;]
That sounds awesome! I would hang posters and pictures of you and your friends all over the wall so you cant even see it, then there would be no need for the sheets or whatever. Put Christmas lights and paper laterns on the celing, and as for cheap stuff, yard sales sweetheart
anyway, have fun!
You can get a fluffy, furry rug pretty much anywhere. Go to your local carpeting or furniture store to check them out. Also get a welcome mat etc to put your shoes. And if you can out a small love seat in there and maybe a few moon chairs. Or bean bags would me good. You should put a small coffee table in there too. Ask your dad to make it, and you can paint it any colour. I’m not sure about the fridge or where to get it, I don’t know where you live but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y32qLHV217g&feature=related That should help. I recommended putting a thin layer of wood (you can staple it on) on the walls. You can paint it with your friends. Or you can get spray paint and your friends can draw on it so it’s personalized. You can put some fake flowers or a bush inside a pot or something. Also put lanterns or x-mas lights around the room. I also recommend getting a febreeze candle thing. It doesn’t require electricity and there’s no actual flame.
It looks like a candle and smells great! http://www.febreze.com/en_CA/producttype/febreze_home_collection_luminaire.do
Have fun!
I made a room like this last summer in my backyard. I got spare wood and help from my dad to make a small bunk bed with air mattresses on one side. This is the best part, the bottom bunk doubles as a seat even with no bed in it just the plywood.

For the next step i bought 2 black lights and put them in. I painted the walls with left over paint and added a quote border along the top. chairs and a table are use full to. i have an inflatable cot and a piece on plywood on a tote for this.

For the curtains we just taped them up but they kept falling off since the window is on the door and constantly moving.
