No maybe purple or yellow maybe.
A plain white sheet is just that…plain and white.
Visit your local fabric shop. It is a great place to shop if you are a photographer. You can get anything from a see-through sheer to a heavy muslin in various shades and patterns and if you do it right, the prices are cheap.
I was in the local shop getting some purple sheer fabric (great for nude/boudoir), some heavy white felt (great for white backgrounds and product photography), and some Ripstop nylon fabric to make scrims/diffusers (also on sale).
While I was waiting to cut the materials cut, the lady behind me wanted to know what I was making. I explained that I am a photographer and make some of my own backgrounds. She asked if I had a coupon and I said "no, but at least it’s on sale". She hands me one and says "Have this one, I get them all the time and it’s about to expire". I thanked her and gave her my business card and said "a discount for your discount if you ever need a photographer".
When I checked out, it came to $39 minus the 40% sale prices minus her 40% coupon plus tax (of course)…a grand total of $15 AND the receipt has a 40% off coupon for the next purchase. Which made me feel a little better since I also had to go to the camera shop after I left there and drop $120 for a 10′x12′ background for another shoot.
