Will a loft bed make my room feel like a cave?

I have a large room with a large window, but I’ve heard that having things up around you makes the room feel smaller. Is this true?

Well maybe, but what’s wrong with a cave??? I’ve wanted to live in a cave my whole life!!! But if it’s not your thing, it’s not your thing.
Actually I think what makes rooms look small are too much contrast, too much vivid color, too much pattern, clutter, & white ceilings. So if you have a loft bed, just follow those rules & it will look great!!!
Yes and it blocks your lighting.
