In 10 years a regular spring mattress is 2 times it’s original weight because of all the bed bugs and dust mights. A feather bed should be kept for 10 years at the most, and that’s with regular cleaning. The easiest way to clean a bed is rolling over it with a vacuum once a week. But, after 5 years you should replace it.
