i have heard that before but personally i thought it was just dumb, but my daughter is a crazy sleeper so i just took the bumper off because i noticed that she was pressing her little face to it.
i think its just to your better judgement, if you feel it will be unsafe for your child then take it off, but if you feel its fine then go for it!
i wish i could keep the bedding on, it is the cutest bedding and it was quite pricey but this is what works best for my child.
best of luck
Where I live, you aren’t allowed to use bumper pads in the crib anymore. Not only can the baby go up against it, but it also restricts the circulation of the air which can be really bad too.
All that the crib should have in it is the mattress pad and the fitted sheet. Nothing else, including an extra sheet, blanket, pillow, bumpers, stuffed animals, or quilts should be in the crib.
