wow! good for you to do this for her.
ive always found silk and satin to be both slippery and hot- always sliding off the bed. i’d go for a high thread count BAMBOO bed sheet set. sounds crazy right? youd be surprised how luxurious, silky and soft these things are. go to your local place and check it out. you wont regret it. i’d get white or ivory and use only the powdered bleach on them- never the chlorine one.
google bamboo bed sheets
silk and satin are for nightgowns, not sheets…. if you want great sheets, get Egyptian cotton in the highest thread count you can afford….. 500 to 800′s are great…..
Satin. Satin sheets are softer and nicer. Silk is sometimes itchy and has an odd materiel feel to it.
Sheets with a high thread count are much better than silk or satin sheets because they constantly slid off the bed. If I had to choose one of them, it would definatly be silk. Satin sheets have a rough side to them.
