Prolog
She entered the home of the rebellion. Her white hair gently blowing in the wind even thought she was a young girl no more than 16.
“Who are you?” the leader asked.
“My name is Blanche Sky.” she said softly removing her white cloak showing she meant no harm.
“What is your business here young Sky?” he asked coolly his eyes examining her.
“Seth Sky is going to murder his father and take the thrown.” She said.
“Why do you say this?” he asked
“because Seth Sky, my fiancé, told me.”
“why should I believe a mere girl of 16 and start a war with the Skys?” he asked as he let a laugh fill the hall.
“You shouldn’t, and you won’t. But when he does and a girl of 16 comes to this spot many years from now help her win the war.”
That was the last time the men in the rebellion saw the young woman, and as she had promised no more than one year later when Raymond Grey Sky was cared across all the lands so all could grieve his death they know that the girl had spoke the truth and a dark age was unfolding before they’re very eyes.
One
Dawn of yesterday
My name is Alexandra Sky my story starts my sixteenth year of life when my mother was killed, an Anamis was brought to the Skylands, and when I broke every law to save a child from my fathers hands.
I walked into the room to see my mother’s body lay there unmoving. The shadows of the room soon reveled his face. I studied him. He was taller than me by a good few inches, his black hair like a cold moonless night curled around his face, his black eyes drew me in like a deep hole.
“You killed her.” I whispered.
“Why do you say that daughter?” he asked emotionless.
“Because you never loved her.” I whispered almost inalterable.
He looked at me for a moment then looked to the ground as he took long steps closer to me I backed up slowly. “You question me. Fine. You question my ways. Fine. However, questioning my love for your mother, my wife. I will not stand for.” He whispered so quite only I heard the words, “In two hours time you meet me in the court yard there we will fight.”
I looked him in the eyes “yes father.” I said strongly.
“you may leave now.” He said turning his back to me.
I nodded. And walked do the corridors. At long last I reached my room. Its sea blue walls welcomed me I looked to my canopy bed where silk sheets lay. On top of the sheets laid a pair of dark pants, a light blue sleeveless shirt, a white leather jacket, and my sword in its sheath. I closed the doors behind.
“man, rumors spread fast around this place.” I said to myself. And began to change. When I was done I called my ladies made to do my hair for battle.
When she was finished she came around and looked at me, she bowed her head and said “my lady is it wise for you battle the king?”
I placed my hand gently on the girl’s head, “no, but there is little I can do.”
She looked up at me shock crossed her twelve year old face “will he kill you?”
“he is no fool when he does kill me no will see it.”
