Do I need a Mattress Pad?

Ok so I bought a futon like a year and a half ago to use at my primary bed. Well from the start it wasn’t incredibly comfortable, but now it’s flattened out and it’s almost like I’m just sleeping on the bars. I can’t afford a better mattress or another bed, So would a Mattress pad help? Do you know any cheap and comfortable ones you would recommend?

A mattress pad is kind of like a thick sheet. That would be useless I think. So you could do something like a cheap memory foam pad. http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Memory-Foam-1-inch-Mattress-Topper/834925/product.html It would be a good investment if you can’t afford a mattress. Good luck!
About the same cost as a mattress pad, which the pad really wouldn’t help. Get some sleeping bags to place over the bed you have, it adds a bit more cushion than anything else for the cost.
Besides that, they can be used as an emergency blanket or for friends that stay over. Most department stores, carry the cheaper ones or order them from an online source.
