Those Space Bags are the best….I have small closets in my house… I use them for winter clothing and blankets….It works just like it says it does…you get really good deals on them on their main website: https://www.spacebag.com/spacebag/901715/
But you can get them at Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart,
If you have a decorative quilt that someone made for you, or something like that, then there are quilt racks, and they look quaint and cute at the foot of a bed. But if you just want them out of the way, then get a storage bag that is soft, don’t use the hard containers. If you get a soft storage container then you can sit on it and squeeze the air out (lol)
People use to use cedar chests. They are decorative — do they sell those things anymore? I don’t know.
Look at the space saver bags, the new ones are suppose to work great. You can read the reviews on http://www.qvc.com and I believe Costco is still selling them. You can also get them at linen stores. You can store lots of them in just a small amount of space, and they stay clean and bug free!
Have you tried one of those bags that you put things in
and using your vaccum just suck the air of them?. They flatten them down to nothing. Even do pillows and you can probably stack them in one bin. Instead of buying the special bags a friend of mine just using green garbage bags and her vacuum and ties them up very tight and it seems to work fine.
Another thing that you might try is what i do.I put them in bags
(the old green garbage ones again with a fabric softener
sheet) and then just store them under the beds. It saves space and you don’t have to sweep under the beds. You can
buy special racks with wheels that you can slide under your
bed for this but you have to have at least 6 inches between the floor and the bottom of your mattress. Me I figure bags are just as good and they are cheap and you can really stuff them where as you lose space with the racks. Hope that helps!
