I think it just depends really, i don’t know the odds sorry. But i have a friend who has 3 sets of twin in a row! Twins run on her husband’s side. She has twin girls first who are now nearly 8, twins boys who are nearly 5 and a girl and boy last year who are nearly 1. So, i think it just depends then really! Lisa Michelle x x lol x x

If you have given birth to one set of fraternal twins already, your chances of having twins again is about 1 in 12. †

It all depends.
My grandmother had twin sister and twin brothers
50% chance
It is a higher chance than people who don’t have twins. It think it is especially higher if your twins are faternal. I know a couple families like who had 2 sets of faternal twins in a row! Goodluck
Well if twins run in your family id say a high chance. I know 2 ladies (different families) that had 2 sets one after the other. Both are my friends moms. One of my friends just had fraternal twins and she’s the only one out of her siblings that’s not a twin.
I’ve heard that the chances of twin pregnancies actually increases if you’ve had a twin pregnancy before. Also increases with age.
Once you’ve had twins, you’re almost twice as likely to have another set of multiples, especially since they run in your family. One of my friend’s mom had three sets of twins, all about four years apart. And one of her older sisters has twins and is currently pregnant with twins again! However, my friend is a twin and she has only single babies. It all depends on your genetics. Good luck!
i think it depends on you but i have a family member that had two sets in a row crazy stuff goin in their house busy busy busy
If we’re talking fraternal twins, the short answer is better than 15%. The average chance is 3% but your chances go up with a family history of fraternal twins, having had twins already, this not being your first pregnancy, and possibly your age or race (you didn’t specify those but they are a factor). Just having had twins before multiplies your chances by 5. Can’t really get any more specific than that though. Here is the more detailed statistic breakdown…
(BTW – if you’re talking about identical twins, your chances are the same as anyone else’s – about 1 in 250 – the chances of that don’t go up with any of the factors listed above – it’s pretty random)
So what is your chance of having more than one baby at a time?
Generally, it is 3% or 1 in 33.
There are things that can increase your chances of having a multiple birth, including a mother being 30 or over when she conceives. For example, while there is a 3% chance of having a multiple birth at age 25-29, it increases to 4% at 30-34 years and almost 5% at 35-39 years.
Other factors that can increase your chances of having twins include having a maternal family history of fraternal twins, and of course, using fertility treatments (in vitro fertilization or fertility drugs).
Your chance of having twins is also influenced by your race (multiples are more common in African Americans and least common in Hispanics and Asians), how many times you have been pregnant (the chance of having twins increases with each pregnancy), and whether or not you have had twins already.
Keep in mind that statistics for birth rates and multiple births include all births, including those that were the result of fertility treatments and those that were spontaneous or ‘natural’. So if you don’t have any of the factors mentioned above that can increase your chance of having multiples, your chance is going to be a little less than 3%. The chance of having ‘natural’ fraternal twins is only about 1.7% or 1 in 60. The chances of having twins with the use of fertility treatments can be as high as 20-25%!
Of multiple births, the rate of fraternal twins has been increasing the most, and that makes sense since the chance of having fraternal twins is influenced by an advanced maternal age and the use of fertility treatments.
The chance of having identical twins has remained steady, and is about 0.4% or 1 in 250.
