Patching top of an air mattress?
the top of my air mattress is like a swade material, how would I patch that? Cuz I’m pretty sure the regular patches won’t work on that type of material. ????? =/

I found a hole in my air mattress.I am about to go to the store to buy a patch.
The problem is the hole is not on the vinyl ,one side of the mattress is cover with some form of material,I guess to make it more comfortable, but that is where the hole is.
Will the patch adhere to the materiel side?
So my air mattress is leaking, and I have the stuff to fix it, but I can’t figure out where the puncture is. I’ve run my hand all over it and I can’t find it. Does anyone know some tricks to find the puncture?
Now I just need to find a bathtub that big…
Yeah I can’t tell where the hole is, that’s the problem. I have no idea what part of the mattress it’s on. All I know is that the mattress is leaking from somewhere.
Something like that, Pineapple.
I had an overnight guest, and she slept on a guest bed. This was an air mattress made of vinyl. The mattress has a distinct vinyl odor; previously I disregarded this and didn’t know that the chemicals used to make the vinyl are very toxic.
Another thing I also didn’t know was that my friend was pregnant!
Now I’m worried; could the exposure have harmed the fetus? Any chemists or biochemists around who could educate me?

It is a queen size air mattress, and after months of sleeping on it, one of the edge "tubes" suddenly inflated massively, while the other ones all did not. What could cause this and how can I fix it?
Does anyone know what gauge the vinyl is for a typical air mattress?
This might be a dumb question, but I really need to know if they can, or would climb up an air mattress. Thank you for any opinions and God Bless =]
ok the seam of my air mattress undid so now one of the sections is raised above the rest, so its very uneven and not comfortable to lay on. is there anyway to fix it. i was thinking about putting a really strong glue along the seam and then fold the mattress in half were that section is and letting it dry, and then hopefully when i put air back into it, it will look normal again.
We thought we had them all gone, then. In our newly refurbished room, painted walls, nice new carpet, and a new air mattress, a creepy crawly bed bug was crawling upon a blanket.
Now I have the heebie jeebies, feeling like I’m being bit up, I’ve looked through my clothes, it is IMPOSSIBLE for a bug to be in my clothes right now. Plus I changed into clothes that weren’t in the affected room. Paranoia is kicking in.
However, this is not my concern right now. We went to a garden nursery, asking them if diatomaceous earth kills bed bugs, is it safe, etc. They all said yes. But we have amorphous diatomaceous earth, the same stuff they said is safe. Is is truly safe? It is amorphous diatomaceous earth in the form of fresh water?
We want to sleep in our air bed, but we are afraid of inhaling this dust.
What can we do? Can you guys help to tell if it safe? Thank you.
i have to do a project and i have to build a hovercraft and i don’t have a leaf blower but i do have an air mattress blower witch blows up mattresses will it work?
also the air mattress blower is electric
My boyfriend and I can’t stand the air mattress smell. We had a good brand that popped and can’t find it in any other stores. We bought a Coleman and it just stinks. Are there any two person futons, foam mattresses or even air mattresses that don’t smell under 0? And what stores sell them?
I’m planning to buy a good mattress. Which is the good one?
Water mattress or air mattress?
I’m going camping, I’ll be sleeping in a tent. We’re going to campgrounds, not just out in the woods lol. I’ll have a tent platform. Do I need an air mattress or will just a sleeping bad work?
I meant sleeping bag, not bad.
And will sleeping without an air mattress just be completely uncomfortable, like hard and painful? I’ve never been camping so idk what to expect or what a tent platform even is.
We have co slept with out son since he was born. We only have a full size bed so it is too hard for us both to sleep together with the baby in our bed, so one of usually ends up on an air mattress. I am tired of doing this but I am also scared of putting my son in his crib. A friends baby just died of SIDS an he was barely older then our son. When he sleeps with me or my husband we can hear him breathing because he snores, so if he stops snoring we instantly wake up to check on him. I moved his crib to right beside my bed. His mattress is maybe a foot from where I sleep. I want to get him use to the crib but now I am scared of putting him in there and then waking up to find him gone. Last night we got him to sleep in his crib and we ended up putting him bed with us because I got to scared of leaving him there. Any suggestions on how to get over the fear of SIDS happening and to get my son to sleep in his crib every night. Usually he will sleep in there for 30 minutes and wake up, but he will sleep for almost 6 hours when he is with us.
