My boyfriend and I have been talking about my son and I moving in with him. The only problem is that he has a one bedroom house. My 4 year old absolutely loves it there and wants to be there…he has heard our conversations about this at dinner and such…but we dont know where to put him. I have my son every other week and we were just thinking about rearranging the living room to make room for his toddler bed or an air mattress for when he is with us. My boyfriend has a house. His brother lives in the basement for the time being. When we spend the night my son sleeps on blankets on the floor or on the couch. He thinks its a fun sleepover. So this isnt going to be a permanent thing for him to not have a room. Just would like an opinion or suggestion.

Hi, the last several days we thought we had bed bugs. My girlfriend and I noticed the welts after I had a severe allergic reaction that everytime I laid in the bed there were welts on my appendages and chest. The day after we noticed this we also noticed her ears where TERRIBLY bit or swollen and her cheeks. What’s weird though is we have an air mattress and the exterminators couldn’t find
anything on their inspection visit. They gave us sticky pads to hopefully catch a specimen, none so far.
The really really strange thing is though is that last night we stayed at a friends and were completely fine, when we came back home to check the sticky pads we were immediately breaking out in the same areas, my hands look like balloons. The apartment has a weird smell and the welts came up with absolutely no contact to anything save for the doorknob.
Please help, we’re so confused and losing lots of sleep!
Yeah but we can’t figure out how being in the house for 5 minutes led to me reproducing the same welts as before. We didn’t sit down or touch anything except the door knobs and light switches and it’s spreading up my arm as we speak
Also no dogs or pets. The house smells strange. Its very..heavy? Only in the living room though and bedroom, the kitchen (at the rear of the house) smells the same as ever.
So they sprayed down the house today. It’s better but we’re still being bit some. They are supposed to follow up 3 more times but we really need to make the place liveable for the time being. Any ideas?
And thanks for the help, I wish I could choose them all best answer.

I sleep on air mattress that you pump up. I snore allot and my wife cant handle it. I am going through a sleep study until i get my cpap machine. I wake up and its lost air a lil bit. Dose this have to due with car tires and the pressure is lost due to the cold? or is the air destiny issue? If i filled it with nitrogen will it help??

Lately my boyfriend has been waking up with bite marks. We sleep on an air mattress and I haven’t had any bite marks at all. He thinks its bed bugs, but if it were wouldn’t they bite me too? I checked the air mattress and our covers and didn’t see anything. I’m not sure if its bed bugs or something else.

I have a small tear in my air mattress that needs to be sealed. Unfortunately, it as positioned right up against a seam, making it impossible to patch up… only a liquid or goo like sealant will be able to get into it. Would rubber cement work to seal the hole and keep air from escaping? What else is there?

I have a spare room with a slatted bed base in it, no mattress as of yet as i dont need to buy it until well into next year. I have an air mattress/blow up mattress that i use for when guests stay over but with the spare room being taken up entirely with the slatted bed base i have no other floor space to put the blow up mattress. Can i put it on the bed base without wrecking the mattress?
the slats are 2 inches apart, so there are alot of them

We have one of those Disney Ez mattresses for our daughter it basically equates to a toddler mattress. We just noticed a small leak in the mattress yesterday, it is the size of a needle point, so very tiny, but obviously it is enough that if a child is sleeping on it it will deflate pretty quickly. We have taped it up for the moment and it seems to hold ok temporarily, but where and what would I be looking for to fix this problem. It’s a very small hole so I don’t want to have to buy another mattress, they are a piece at walmart. We have 2 of these mattress plus our toddler and crib mattresses, and since I watch a couple of kids besides my own during the day we use them on a regular basis, so I can’t wait very long to find a good solution. Anyone ever had to fix an air mattress before or anything? Please let me know what I ought to look for! Thanks!!!
@ Henrietta: You said you had one of the Ez bed mattresses? I have no clue about there being old or new designs, we got ours around October of this last year and it is plastic, er I guess that’s what you would say, rubbery plastic, whatever. Anyways, you made the comment that what you did worked good for a while. Does that mean if I do it it won’t last? I really need something that is going to last pretty much forever if I don’t want to just buy a new one any time soon. Thanks for all the answers so far, I hope I still get some more, could use all the ideas and tips I can get!

I’ve had my cat for about three months now. I got him from the animal shelter, and within days he was used to his new home. Though I cannot stop him from peeing on my roommates bed. We share a room so I have no idea why he keeps going on her bed and nowhere else. He does go in his litter box all the time, but has a frequent urge to urinate in her bed. I keep the door closed, but it seems if I accidentally leave it open he’ll go for it. My roomie has an air mattress for a bed while I have a full queen. I’m wondering since it is closer to the ground it might provide him with easier access? Though why would he continue to use his litter box as normal, yet still pee in her bed every once in a while?

My husband is coming back from Iraq and I’m moving back to our house on post in Alaska. Our bed is in the lower 48 and we don’t want to ship it so I’m looking for a good product to sleep on the floor until he can go mattress/bed shopping with me. I’ve looked at different mattress pads/enhancers. Any comments or suggestions? Oh, we have an air mattress and it’s awful, neither of us slept when we used it. Thanks!

I am currently sleeping on a pillowtop waterbed mattress and It’s terrible and I don’t have the money to afford a new bed. Is an air mattress okay to sleep on permanently? Is it bad for your back?

I have a footlocker to pack with everything I want in Afghanistan for the next year. I have no idea what I may need. I’m an avid reader, and am considering getting a Kindle but don’t know if I’ll even have access to download books out there. Should I take bedding, civilian clothes, I’ve even heard to pack a small air mattress. I have no idea. This box is huge and I don’t even know what to put in it!
