Has your cat ever tried to make himself a bed?

Our male cat is a little over a year old. He plays & sleeps in a nylon tent-like cube. Today, he tried to drag a blanket inside of it with his teeth – it was the funniest thing. I didn’t know that cats liked to make beds (like dogs). Anyway, I ended up having to help him get it into the cube and he is enjoying it. =^…^= They really do think and plan – I wonder what they’d say if they could talk!
His "cube" is already on a soft bed, he just wanted the blanket inside the cube.
These are the cubes he loves, we leave one separate which he makes his bed in, and the other two we hook together for play.

I don’t have a roommate & I could use the extra space if I bunked my beds. But I still want to use my bed risers since the bed sits really low to the ground without them. Would it be safe? I’m not a little girl. I weigh a good 175 or more. Just wondering if the bed risers would break from all the weight.

or is it better if possible to keep them in normal beds and separate rooms?

My niece and nephew really want a bunk bed, but we are not sure whether it’s a good idea, since now they are staying in separate rooms.

They are aged 5 and 3.

Which mattress pad is best to soften a firm bed?

I bought a firm bed- which I like for the support BUT I would like a pad that would be comfortable (since I am a side sleeper). I already know that softer beds are best for side sleepers BUT my ideal bed would be the combination of the two (extremely firm support with a soft top layer). If you know about mattresses then you’re probably thinking I should’ve gotten a firm with a PILLOWTOP. But as you know, pillowtops (which become flat over time) are the worst things. Its best to get something that is removeable. So that brings me to my question…which is the best mattress pad that I can use with my firm bed?

Bed measurments.?

I want to order some new bed sheets and bed sets, but I’m not sure what my beds size is. The mattress measures 63"x79" or 160cm x 200cm. I don’t know if it’s a queen or if it’s a king. Please help.

My girlfriend and I are looking for a new bed. Currently we are on an old full size mattress and I am not sleeping well. It has a slump in the middle which could be causing the problem. For the past 6 months I have been kicking in my sleep which wakes my girlfriend. I went to the doctor because I thought this was a sleeping disorder called PLMD. I have tried 2 different drugs for this; however, none of them remedied the situation and made me sick. Luckily I have a girlfriend that puts up with me and she has put up with my kicking; however, recently I have been sleeping on the floor because I find it more comfortable.

Now I have saved up the money to buy a complete mattress/box spring set and I am having a had time picking which way to go.

1 Option: Push 2 twin mattress together for a King Size (9.00)

My girlfriend has a twin mattress she loves… I mean really wants to sleep on that. It is the best bed ever… loves. My idea is I should buy another twin size mattress of same thickness and push them together. I know there will be a crack in the middle but I think with fastening straps, memory topper or mattress pad, and of course king size sheets, it will stay together. This will also help if the my leg jerking (PLMD) isn’t related to the old worn full size mattress because if I continue to kick and shake the bed waking my girlfriend up we could always separate the beds… Just enough :(

2 Option: Pick a Queen Size Bed (9.00)

We both layed on a queen size bed we like and the sales person said I have been kicking and moving in my sleep because of the old mattress and he thinks buying a new queen bed would fix the problem.

The problem with the 2nd option is that their is NO GUARANTEE that the queen bed will fix my sleeping problem. And the worst part is I can’t return the mattress to the store (Their Policy). So I maybe waking my girlfriend up and still not be happy and not solve the problem.

The 2nd option seems like a "Win-Win". This will stop me from waking up my girlfriend because we are on different foundations. We can also separate the beds. If we move to a different apartment we can easily move the mattresses compared to a king. Also I would only need to buy one twin bed because my girlfriend already has one she wants to use.

I would like to know which option you would pick and any other advise you may offer. And thanks for reading this long post.

I have noticed in Asian hotels (Japan and Taiwan for sure) that there is often a piece of cloth, usually made of the same material as the sheets and which matches the decor of the bedding, that lies across the foot of the bed, on top of the comforter or bedspread. I am trying to find out what this item is called. The direct translation from Mandarin is "bed tail". Is there another name for this?
it is not the duvet over. the item is about 2′ x 10′, and it is not the skirt that goes along the bottom of the bed, like a ruffle. it is similar to a flat sheet, but the beds already have a flat and fitted sheet on it, so this is something extra. it does not seem to be something that is left by accident because it is usually draped across the foot of the bed.
