If I have a mattress with no box spring, I need a metal bed frame, right? So if I get a metal bed frame, can I put a bed skirt on it? How does it go on? And can I put a headboard on a metal frame?
Termites got into the wood in the box spring. Is it safe to transport the mattress alone to another location, or will I be transporting termites as well? I really want to keep the mattress, but don’t want to keep the termites.
We just ordered a king size mattress set and am curious if they send a king size box spring or two seperate smaller box springs. We live on the second floor of the condo building and are concerned that a king size box spring will not be able to make it around the steps.
I bought a brand new queen sized Serta mattress along with box spring and the frame and everything at a decent price ~ 650. its about 6 months and it seems to sink from the center. When I try to turn it feels like climbing a hill.
I agree that I wanted a harder mattress but this exact mattress felt very comfortable at the store because of its padding and softness. Also, the weird thing is its not a two sided mattress. The other side of the mattress is hard and so I can’t flip it every 6 months.
Is there something I can do with warranty or can I simply put the mattress on the floor or something wrong with my box frame? I wake up with a pain in the neck and back but sleep has been well.
I need a mattress and I can’t afford to spend the 9 (cheapest price I found so far) and I don’t want one of those "always a little short" compressed mattresses. I was thinking…can I buy a soft side water bed mattress and fill it with air instead of water? I found one for like 0, a little more affordable. I have a split queen box spring to put it on.
I am looking for a firm mattress and have compared the Sealy "Magnitude firm" vs. Simmons "Millner" vs. Sera "Langdon". Which one is better quality? Also, what should price be for each? I’d like mattress that lasts. Also, I don’t need a box spring since my bed is a platform. What do you think? Thanks for th advice!
This is counter intuitive, but my family won’t stop pestering me about the bed bug treatment I ordered. I’m trying to do well for these people, but they keep saying that spraying chemicals on the box spring/bed frame and in the dresser chests will contaminate clothing and be toxic to them–and potentially poison or kill them.
Isn’t it a little counter intuitive to think that a bed bug treatment would be harmful to humans? Do they have a point?
I am currently living in an apartment that became infested with bedbugs. Luckily, I am moving at the end of the month, but what should I do to make sure that no bed bugs come with me to my new place? I am having a problem with condensation between my mattress and box spring. I live in an older house and my bedroom is really small. I have to dry the mattress and box spring off about once a week or two. What would be causing this?

My new bed is a Double (Not a King size or Queen) and my Mattress fit my last Double bed, but is 2 inches too small all the way round?!
I don’t want to get a new Mattress as the one I currently have is not very old and I found it very hard to find one which was comfortable enough?!
I have looked online quickly for Mattress Extenders, but they are only small chunks of vinyl covered foam to plonk at one end of a a single bed and mainly suit use in Medical Environments!?!
Dose anyone know of any products or ideas I could put into use or that I could perhaps put under my Mattress Sheet and on top of my Mattress to extend it all the way round short of me just getting a long Mattress Depth Piece of Foam to somehow temporarily attach to the Mattress itself?

Thats the Ebay listing. And it seems to fit in the same place of my old Double Bed, just the place where you slot in the matress seems bigger?!?!
I dont know what a box spring is?!?! The Matress is just on the Bed Frame slotted into the wooden sides and lacking a little at the edges!
Though I do like your idea of a Mattress Topper for a Kingsize bed and I think the comfort would be additional to what I already have!?!

I ordered a bed (Cal King Pillowtop Mattress, 1 low profile box spring, & bed frame) from a major online retailer. Day of delivery, the delivery guy calls & tells me there is a problem with my order: there is only one box spring & there needs to be two. Also says he will not deliver & will not set up without another one. Is it really necessary? Online retailer states that I must buy another box spring & will be charged another delivery fee, even though nothing has been delivered!!! Help!!!
