just moved in and the movers could not get my boxspring up the stairs. can i cut the frame???? i heard someone say that??any ideas?

Hello. I’m currently planning out a whole new bedroom set for my room. I decided that since I’m getting bored with my current bedding, then I’ll just add a new bedding set to the online cart, for an extra 40 dollars. Well, the only bed that I could find to match the dresser was a platform bed. The bedding that I want includes a bed skirt, and it completes the whole set. Will a bed skirt look right on a platform twin bed? I don’t want to waste 40 dollars if it’s going to look strange. I’ll probably have a matress and boxspring on the bed, with the bedskirt on the boxspring. But I don’t know if the platform part will be bulkier than the boxspring, enough to be noticable. Thank you!
Can you use a bedskirt with a platform bed no boxspring and if so, how do you know what size to buy? My platform bed is a queen, and a queen bedskirt does not work. I really want to cover the bottom, so that is why the bedskirt is desirable.
I heard that not having a boxspring can cause back problems. Can I place the boxspring and mattress on the platform bed? Or would that look weird? I haven’t picked up the platform bed yet, I’m doing it this weekend.
I am having a problem with condensation between my mattress and box spring. I live in an older house and my bedroom is really small. I have to dry the mattress and box spring off about once a week or two. What would be causing this?
It is a lady americana mattress. And no the boxspring is not directly on the floor. It’s on a frame.
I saw one on several websites. just one. there has to be more. It is a normal bed with drawers on the floos and drawers where the boxspring should be. the mattres lays on top of the last layer of drawers. It is great for storage and high for my shit back. where do they sell such marvelous creations? heaven?

My boyfriend just bought a queen-size bed to put in the master bedroom of the house he just moved into. The bedroom is the upstairs of a Cape Cod house. The previous owners of the house had a king-size bed in that bedroom, but we cannot get the queen-size boxspring up the steps! There isn’t enough clearance. We tried everything short of ripping the doorway trim apart. Is there a secret that we may not know?
I found mine inside of my bed, she got inside the boxspring mattress, there was a hole under there and she jumped in!

Now with a platform bed would I need to get a boxspring or foundation for these types of mattresses? Or would I be better off getting a box spring or a foundation and a regular bed frame?
I recently re-painted my bedroom and don’t want to put the bed that I had before back in there, as it’s an iron bed and the back of it seemed to scratch the paint up in a few spots. I have to save up a bit for the new one that I want, so I was just going to leave my mattress & boxspring on the floor for a while; I’ve heard, though, that this can ruin them, is that true? My puppy is alsmost a year old. Both my b/f and I work durring the day and dont feel right leaving the dog in a crate. However, everyday we get home, our house is trashed from him chewing everything. I have bought 10 pairs of flip flops in the past month, he chewed my boxspring apart,hes chewed up my carpet,hes chewed my tile up. Spankins and yelling is just not doing it anymore. I dont want to hook him outside cause we have other dogs that come in the yard. I also have another dog thats older that stays in the house with this one….. And Yes the puppy has plenty of chew toys that he wants nothing to do with!!!! HELP
