no stupid answers please but sooo me n my husband have this really boring bedroom theres white walls (which we cant paint) a hard floor which doesnt make it cozzy a bed which is just on a boxspring and no head or foot boared, then theres not much of a theme with anything else just a pyramid picture and the starry night picture, well we arent looking to spend alotof money but we wanna make it look like well a sexy bedroom (no not the kind of sexy with pictures of porn stars) just inviting, we dont have many ideas of what to do for decoration and stuff all we did is get some candles everything else, either is too much for an only female bedroom or is too guyish and not appealing for the style where looking for….some ideas? not too much money so keep the ideas more based on accessories and decor vs. furniture and room sized rugs

Will a bed skirt look right with a twin platform bed?

Hello. I’m currently planning out a whole new bedroom set for my room. I decided that since I’m getting bored with my current bedding, then I’ll just add a new bedding set to the online cart, for an extra 40 dollars. Well, the only bed that I could find to match the dresser was a platform bed. The bedding that I want includes a bed skirt, and it completes the whole set. Will a bed skirt look right on a platform twin bed? I don’t want to waste 40 dollars if it’s going to look strange. I’ll probably have a matress and boxspring on the bed, with the bedskirt on the boxspring. But I don’t know if the platform part will be bulkier than the boxspring, enough to be noticable. Thank you!

What types of bedskirt should i choose for platform bed and no boxspring?

Can you use a bedskirt with a platform bed no boxspring and if so, how do you know what size to buy? My platform bed is a queen, and a queen bedskirt does not work. I really want to cover the bottom, so that is why the bedskirt is desirable.

I bought a platform bed frame from craigslist, can I put the boxspring and mattress on the bedframe?

I heard that not having a boxspring can cause back problems. Can I place the boxspring and mattress on the platform bed? Or would that look weird? I haven’t picked up the platform bed yet, I’m doing it this weekend.

What causes condensation between my mattress and box springs?

I am having a problem with condensation between my mattress and box spring. I live in an older house and my bedroom is really small. I have to dry the mattress and box spring off about once a week or two. What would be causing this?
It is a lady americana mattress. And no the boxspring is not directly on the floor. It’s on a frame.

Where can I buy a storage bed of quality that is higher than a normal bed?

I saw one on several websites. just one. there has to be more. It is a normal bed with drawers on the floos and drawers where the boxspring should be. the mattres lays on top of the last layer of drawers. It is great for storage and high for my shit back. where do they sell such marvelous creations? heaven?

My boyfriend just bought a queen-size bed to put in the master bedroom of the house he just moved into. The bedroom is the upstairs of a Cape Cod house. The previous owners of the house had a king-size bed in that bedroom, but we cannot get the queen-size boxspring up the steps! There isn’t enough clearance. We tried everything short of ripping the doorway trim apart. Is there a secret that we may not know?

I’m lookin into getting a new bed and I’m leaning more towards the temperpedic memory foam type or a select comfort air (pneumatic pump to change firmness) type . Now with a platform bed would I need to get a boxspring or foundation for these types of mattresses? Or would I be better off getting a box spring or a foundation and a regular bed frame?

I recently re-painted my bedroom and don’t want to put the bed that I had before back in there, as it’s an iron bed and the back of it seemed to scratch the paint up in a few spots. I have to save up a bit for the new one that I want, so I was just going to leave my mattress & boxspring on the floor for a while; I’ve heard, though, that this can ruin them, is that true? Is there anything I can do instead?
