For years I have been searching to find jersey knit california king size sheets with cherries on them. I can find plenty of fabric that would work, unfortunately if I made them myself I’d have 4 different seams and that doesn’t sound too comfy. I would prefer a black background with red cherries, but at this point I’m willing to take whatever color(s) I can get, if anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have searched and searched and searched some more…I have done an insane amount of searching. No luck.

I want to print out a label on a quilt with words and photo, using my computer and inkjet printer. How do you print on fabric, and what do you do to set the ink so it won’t run or fade?

When I go there I really want to find some egyptian cotton tunics and shawls etc. I know there are a few fabric districts but I’m looking for a place that actually has clothing..traditional stuff like kaftans also. BTW…i will be staying in Giza.

I’m setting out to make a duvet cover that will hopefully turn out looking like this:

I need it to fit a full size bed, so I was thinking I’d get some king size sheets to have room for gathering, but after giving it some more thought, I don’t think that will be enough fabric. Should I get two and sew them together? How can I do that so it will look good, and not like I sewed two sheets together? Or do you think I’ll need to buy a bolt of fabric? Where can I get fabric that wide?

I am making the shams myself. Do I measure out the fabric and have it embroidered first? or do I construct the sham first?

I’m planning on buying some flannel sheets for a twin XL mattress from LL Bean, and they’re not sold as a set: pillowcases, flat sheets, and fitted sheets are sold separately. The fitted sheet comes in the XL size, but the flat sheet only comes in regular twin and full sizes. I like to tuck my sheets OVER my comforter (which will be twin-sized)… will the twin size be long enough to cover the mattress AND tuck over on the comforter, or should I buy the full size and just tuck the excess side fabric under?

I love to sew. I’m going to Seattle for two week this summer. Is there a store or a place I should see to experience fabric and quilts and sewing?

I have a pile of antique doilies/dresser scarves, some are linen, some have a finer weave, most are embroidered, some are trimmed in crocheted lace. All of them are yellowed (which doesn’t bother me so much, they’re freaking old), some have stains, all of them are permanently creased because they’ve been folded so long, but they APPEAR structurally sound. What is the safest way to clean these poor things without damaging the main fabric or loosening the stitching in the embroidery/crochet?

I’m dorm-shopping, and I found some really nice sheets at a good price…however, they don’t come in a Twin XL size. I figured I’d just buy the regular Twin size flat sheet, but the Twin fitted sheet obviously won’t fit. Does anybody know the dimensions of a Twin XL/Full/Queen bed? I’m wondering whether I can buy a size or two up, and just tuck the extra fabric under the mattress…

I am wanting to make a mattress pad for a toddler bed. I need to know what fabric would be best to use for the side the child would lay on? (bedwetting prob). I need it to be as inconspicuous as possible so she can take with her to sleepovers and such. One side would be fleecy blanket material, but am at a loss for knowing what to use for the the other side, that would be either waterproof or absorbant

What is the best way to remove blood stains from bed sheets? It’s only a small amount, from a blemish I scratched at during the night. It has been sitting apx 1 week. The sheets are a cotton and light blue in color so I dont want to use bleach or anything else that will stain the fabric. I do not have any oxyclean. I do have a shout stain stick but I’m not sure that it will work for blood. I’ve seen so many different suggestions but I dont know what will really work!
