The bed is queen size. It is supported in the air by heavy chains that are bolted to wood posts. The Bed frame is made of round wood posts. There is no head board and no footboard. The bed frames width and height is the same width and height as the mattress. The chains are then attached to the "Vigas" – wood beams located on the ceiling. I saw this bed in a magazine approximately 8 months ago. Can you tell me the name of the magazine?

How can I disguise my bed risers?

We’ve had bed risers on our bed for a few years, and we love the extra storage. However, we just got a new bed that has a foot board. It changes the way the bed skirt hangs, and now the risers show. I’ve looked for cherry risers to match the wood of the bed, but they’re not as tall as the risers we have now. What is a tasteful way to hide the risers so we can keep them?
Well, now that we have a footboard, the bed skirt is down behind the footboard instead of in front of the legs of the bed. That’s why the risers show now.

Making a Bed out of Old Doors?

So I saw on TLC that they had made a bed out of old doors….using one for the head board and one for the footboard. Thought it was an awesome concept. So I’m in the process of finding the doors. Once that’s done, I need to get four pegs to put on the bottom corners….but could someone here please tell me how to go about doing the frame? I searched TLC’s website and found the picture of the bed…just not instructions as to how to really do it. Thanks.
