It’s the only wall in my room I plan to be so busy.. on the others I plan white wall paneling and on the others laura ashley wallpaper. I really want a long haired furry white carpet too even though I know they’re hard to keep clean

I am coming up with ideas for my parent-in-law’s new great room. They put an addition on an old farmhouse, there is a photo on the Idea Board that I have included a link for, but it is still in somewhat construction phase. The background color on the Idea Board is the proposed wall color (from Valspar’s Laura Ashley line.)

Also, any other ideas for curtains? On the bottom right side I tried to create two visual aids in Photoshop. The top one is if I did long, solid colored curtains that hung from the top of the higher windows to the floor. The bottom is if I maybe just did roman shades on the bottom windows in the striped fabric, and left the top windows open. But I’m not sure about the striped fabric, will it take away from the view? Ideas appreciated

This is my dilema: At Sleepy’s they are willing to match the prices for these two. The first one is a memory mattress called Miralux or something like that and the second one is an Laura Ashley pillow-top Queens. Someone told me not to get a pillow-top because over the years I guess the pillow-top gets worn out and it becomes very uncomfortable. But i don’t know if this is the situation every time. The point is that the pillow-top is def more comfortable than the memory one but is about more. I’m getting a great deal on both mattresses but what is better? I personally like the memory one but my wife says it’s a little too firm, that’s because of course the pillow-top one is softer. She likes the pillow-top better. I do myself but I’m aiming for the lifetime of the mattress rather than a short life-time of comfort.

Not too expensive, bare in mind I am buying it all exept the bed.
I need to keep it looking traditional as it is a very old chocolate-box style cottage. The wall where the window is has a sloped roof with a few dark beams around the window so I can’t do anything to that wall.

We finally sold our family home, and are putting the money towards a new build project we are working on. We will be renting a house for the foreseeable until our home is finished. The house we are renting is nice, but quite bland, with cream walls and carpets. We have sorted out our baby’s room, but still have no ideas as to what would look great for our 13 year old’s room? (She is a girl).
We cannot paint or wallpaper walls as it is a rented home, so what could we do to make it look more pretty and girly?

What is everyone else doing for their theme?
Aimee’s Mummy – I got a 7 piece set which includes all the bedding, the diaper stacker, the mobile and the valance. There are like 4 other things that come separately that I will buy too, but maybe next month when I have money again.
Expecting Mommy – that is a really cute idea with the planes hanging from the ceiling. Very clever.

Holidae – I will not be using the same nursery or bedding with my children, so that is why I am not doing neutral. The bedding I picked out, I picked because it can stay with my daughter until she grows out of her toddler bed. My next child whether a boy or girl will get nwe furniture, bedding and all and have a totally different bedroom.
