my 3 year old has been in underware for a month now and has had very few accidents. I been putting him in a diaper at bed time but i would like to stop using diapers all together. I feel that he will do fine but it might take alittle bit of practice. So i want to use something to protect the mattress.

i dont want to use a whole mattress pad cover cause i dont have a washer to clean it every night so i want to use under pads (chuck pads). But i cant find them anywhere!!!!

Where can i find these at a reasonable price? Or is there a even better alternative

Twin bed upgrade but no mattress cover?

My daughter got a twin size bed a few months back shes going to be 3 in march and shes potty trained during the day and even at nap time but night time is a different world lol. When i do start putting her in her undies for night time and stop giving her all that water before bed and such i know i need a mattress pad for her new bed but i dont have one, can i use the mattress pad from her toddler bed to prevent accidents from leaking to the mattress or is it not built the same way as a twin bed mattress pad would be built? Just wondering, i was hopeing i could save some money on buying one until after the holidays.

Has anyone tried it?

Thanks in advance.
i mean thanks for the advice

What kind of crib mattress is this?

I keep seeing crib mattress/pads like this on this website. No one ever comments about them though. They’re all older posts though so no one probably checks them anymore.

Are they just foam pads? Are they safe? What about sheets?

Not the crib but the mattress pad thing inside of it..

I know you need a mattress protector, mattress pad. do I also need a feather bed? If so do I put the mattress pad (It’s memory foam) under the feather bed or vice versa? and then I have a fitted etc. I just don’t know if some of it is necessary or not, please help. I just like my bed comfy but do not want to buy things I really don’t need! :)

I bought a new mattress from a dealer in my small town. When I asked about returns, he said it would be no problem, but be sure to use a mattress pad.
I cut off one of the tags because it was overlapping the up side of the mattress! The tag I cut off was the one that identified the mattress as a Simmons. I did not remove any of the other tags…
I think the owner of the store is a fair man, so I do not want to ask him to lose money -it was my fault to choose this mattress.
However, this mattress is as hard as a rock, it does not give. All last night I felt as if I were being offered up to the gods on an alter!
Common sense tells me to just tell him what I said above, but my concern is that I cut off the tag. How should I deal with this?
I’ve heard that if a mattress is this hard, that it will not soften much with time, so I am wondering if a mattress topper will provide enough comfort, if at all…
I do plan to ask for another mattress, but what do you think about the tag part of my dilema?

And it super sucks. Bought it in July 2005. And in January/Feb 2006 I started to experience bad aches and pains. Over a course of several months, I went to the DR for all these mysterious pains…even had a mammogram. Nothing could be found, deducted it was stress related–because how could my new mattress cause this?? Anyway, thru massages, relaxation and a new mattress pad…I felt better. So, my mattress definitely has grooves, and dips where we sleep. We aren’t heavy people. Anyway, the mattress sucks, reviews are bad. Besides rotating, does anyone have this mattress–and what have you done? I am thinking about getting one of those memory foam pads–but not sure if that will just be the same problem on top of a problem. Thanks.

Can you put a queen size sheet on a dorm bed?

So for college I can’t find any Twin XL design that I like but I find plenty in queen size. Do you think it would still work out with a queen? I would just have to tuck the sides more in but would it stay on? I also plan on putting a mattress pad which should help. What do you guys think?

Egg Crate Mattress??

Does the memory foam go on top or the egg crate part? And if it’s not the egg crate that goes on top how does it even work then?? And do you put it on top of your mattress pad or underneath

How to clean a feather mattress?

I have a queen sized feather mattress. Not a mattress pad like they sell nowadays, but a real feather mattress. I inherited it from my grandfather. It’s been up in the attic and I want to use it. It needs to be cleaned and a small rip in the seam needs to be repaired. How can I clean it at home and forego the costs of professional cleaning. This thing is heavy and anything to help with lifting it to clean would be wonderful.

Dorm: Storage, Chairs, Mattress Pad, etc?

I’ll be a college freshmen next year, and I’m looking for a little advice with dorm decorating:

-Storage: I’ve seen stackable drawers, containers under a raised bed (what kind of containers?), something that hangs over a door and stores shoes, an ottoman you can store stuff in, etc. What do you think works best?

-Chairs: I want to replace the desk chair in my dorm room. Any suggestions?

-Mattress Pad/topper: I was considering this: http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Innovations-2-Inch-Memory-Mattress/dp/B002NEG15E/ What do you use?

Any advice is helpful. I’m the oldest in my family so I don’t have any siblings who have gone through this before. Thanks in advance!
I was told by several people in the building I am living in that they replaced their desk chairs and recommended doing so because the ones they give us are terrible. Hence my question. I’m not trying to redecorate, just taking advice.

My pillow top bed does not feel as good with a cotton mattress pad on it. Is it a bad mattress pad, or is this typical?
Basically the mattress feels less cushioned with it on..

How can someone prevent bed bugs?

I have a friend that lives in a senior building and her management told him they have an infestation of bed bugs. He doesn’t have them, but he is really worried. He has inspected and changed his mattress pad and sheets. What can be done to keep from getting them? Is there something he can buy?

We are thinking of buying one. Are they worth it. Someone said they heard that they get hot in the summer. I never heard this. If so,then why can’t they get just as hot in the winter? Is it body heat or not. Can the mattresses breath? Do you need special sheets or a mattress pad. They never tell you this during the commercials. We do not want a pushy salesman or woman not telling us everything so they can get their commission. Honest answers please. Thanks everyone.

Sudden strange mattress stain?

Ok so this is kind of gross, but I’m having trouble finding an exact answer on google. I was making my bed today and found this big stain on my mattress. It’s right underneath the upper part of my body on the side of the bed where I sleep. I live alone, have never done anything but sleep in the bed, btw. It is like some kind of pale orange/brown color that looks like maybe the edges of a liquid stain. It is only dark around the edges looking like someone drew a big circle and did not color it in. Is this just a sweat stain? Is that normal? It’s just that the stain wasn’t there last time I looked two months ago and now it is, and it seems that it didn’t affect the mattress pad at all, somehow went through it without staining it and affected the actual mattress only. Is this because my mattress pad is made of something that doesn’t get stained but my mattress is not?

I’m slightly paranoid and just want to make sure I don’t have some kind of disease or something. I know that sounds silly. The past couple nights I have woken up very sweaty though, as the weather is becoming warmer and I hadn’t yet turned on my air conditioning.

I bought a mattress with memory foam inside the first layer. I bought it used, so I can’t return it… I mean, it’s wonderful, it had been airing out on the floor for around a year, but the smell seems to be hard to cover up (I bought a mattress protector to cover up the smell, perhaps I bought the "wrong one"? I also got a mattress pad, but it’s not enough to cover up the smell either… I also put a blanket over it…
What I was thinking, is, with my last mattress, using non- chlorine bleach with water on a cloth, helped with the smell, but this mattress looks more porous? Wouldn’t it damage it to use this, then?
Also, the only other thing I used was Febreeze… ( I had to use the nc bleach to get rid of the Febreeze smell, too…).
Should I get a better mattress pad or a latex topper or something?

Any ideas on any of the above or suggestions on them is welcome…

Thanks! :)
