A couple months ago my three year old was complaining about itching after nap and bed time. I have stripped his room and bed apart several times(even flipping his box spring over and looking inside) looking for bedbugs. Nothing. Now I am getting bites as well. They are itchy but they dont turn red and bump up like mosquito or spider bites. I thought scabies, but there is no where near a spread over the body relevant to the time frame.???Anybody?!

Hello!
I need any advice I can get….When my baby was born, I had a separated pelvis…I was told the proper way to have him co sleep with me until I was healed since I had to stay in bed. He is now almost 5 months old and I would like to transfer him from my bed to his crib. I have tried numerous times including putting him in his crib to nap during the day and letting him cry until he falls asleep. I have put something with my scent on it in the crib as well, I have tried swaddling, mobiles etc. Every time I put him in there he is ok for about 10 minutes then starts crying, I need my bed back as I am loosing sleep now as I can not move from the one position because hes decided to sleep right in the middle! Any advice would be greatly helpful!! Thanks for reading!!!

if you could fall asleep anywhere, on anything and with anyone…where/who/what would it be??
id want to fall asleep on a ginormous soft bed with four blankets…egyptian cotton sheet followed by a soft nap blanket, then a quilt to maintain warmth, then a poofy comforter..(i sleep with 4 every night i freeze lol if you cant tell) along with my buddie =). wed be outside on the deck of a fancy, small hotel in Hawaii..secluded and you could see and hear the ocean but no one can see or hear us =P lol perfect…or i could go with a cozy warm cabin lit by a fireplace in the mountains in Colorado….or on a yacht in Lake Michigan =)
so much to think about… im gonna sleep well tonight lol =P
ooh hammocks are comfy!! so are those giant bowl chairs….. =)

My son will be 25 months when our second baby comes in Sept. Before the baby comes I really want my DS in a "big boy bed" and to be completely off his pacifier for a few months so there is no confusion or jealousy issues when the newborn gets the crib and the paci and he doesnt. He only uses his paci at nap and bed time. It is not allowed to leave his crib. When he gets up we tell him to put it "night night" and he throws it back in the crib. Then he claps and we tell him he is getting to be such a big boy. I am planning on transitioning him from the crib to the extra toddler bed we have in May (when my school semester is over). Should we cut the paci before, after or at the same time we transistion beds? Should we set up the toddler bed now in his room and just leave it up with his crib so he gets used to seeing it and being on it? Any ideas how to make the transition smoother?

I can’t remember where I heard this and I can’t find an answer on the OSHA website. My company has a "wellness room" on the property which has a cot and blankets for people to use if they are not feeling well or need a nap. We used to have the soiled blankets laundered by professionals, but that costs more than the blankets themselves. A co-worker of mine has been taking them to his home and washing them there and returning them to work.
Is this legal?

My daughter is 14 months and the worst cling on! I cant get ANYTHING done at all when my hubby isnt home and I dont know what to do. I have work I need to get done at the computer and she demands to sit at the desk with me, but problem is she climbs on the desk or presses the power button or some annonymous button that screws everything up. I cant stand up if im sitting near her or she freaks, I have to take her to the bathroom with me, I have to carry her everywhere and its too much of a strain. She is still breast fed and has not given any signs of letting up. When she is like this she has the boob literally 70% of the day and IM so tired. PLEASE HELP!!
I tried putting her down for a nap, thought maybe she needed one….didnt put her in her bed bag. Closed the door and THUMP! She got out of her crib
She also will not go play with Daddy too and she is not teething or sick

My baby is 8 weeks old and I just started trying to put her in her crib for at least 1 nap per day but I have to swaddle her same as at night for bed in order for her to sleep. Is swaddling a hard thing to break? And is it important at this age for her to nap in her bed everytime she falls asleep in her swing ar infant chair? If not then what age should I start?

we have 2 ez bed mattress they are about the size of a toddler mattress, we use them everyday because i take care of a couple of kids plus my own during the week. We just noticed that there is a tiny hole in the mattress, only about the size of the tip of a sewing needle, but it’s enough that if you lay a child down on it to nap, after about 10-15 minutes it is already mostly deflated. I have already asked this question but was wanting more answers than what i got. I know I need some sort of patch for it but where would I buy one and specifically what type. I’m looking for someone to give me a brand name, something that I can easily look up and find. Thanks all!

I forgot to put a pull up on my daughter when we took a nap and now my very expensive mattress has a big wet spot. Any special remedies I can try to prevent the urine smell from occuring?
sorry rustskipper-just figured moms may have more experience in this area.

I’m kind-of afraid it will be too comfortable and i will want to just lay on it and take a nap, but at the same time, i don’t want to be on the hard floor and be hurting so bad i can’t continue working out. And I don’t have the money to go buying ANY workout equipment, i haven’t checked the prices on those, but if i’m using large canned food as weights, i doubt i’d have the money to buy a mat.

When my MIL babysat him while I was in school she would tell him time to take a nap go get in your big boy bed and he would do it. I moved and didn’t have a bed for him so me and him both slept on a air mattress till my husband got there to get our furniture this is about a week later. We turned his crib into a daybed and he just doesn’t want to sleep in his bed. I have to lay down with him at bed time in his bed (well he’s in the bed im sitting on the floor with my head on his bed pretending to sleep so he goes to sleep) if he falls asleep in my bed or in the living room we’ll take him to his bed but he wakes up in the middle of the night and come in our bed. (i’m preg and way to tired to get up and take him back to his bed and fight his plus I’d be sick all day the next day because of lack of sleep) question is I know there is someone out there that has been here.. please help me lol a queen size bed with three people and a growing belly is just really uncomfortable and I get kicked in the belly by my son in the middle of the night yeah ouch.
lol my husband is in the military and has to get up at 4am every morning or I would ask him to get up atleast alternate nights. But i’m gonna have to work at this .. thank you everyone for your suggestions. I made this mess and I have to clean it up lol… lol dont ever do this to your selves unless you have a king size bed and don’t mind it at all.

up? It seems to me that this happened all of a sudden. Surely that is not the case. How did women learn that it was "cool" to put all of those pillows on the bed? It is a real problem for me when I want to take a short nap in the afternoon. Not enough room to lay down. When will this useless habit "go away?"

My friend’s little boy had an "accident" when he took a nap on my bedspread, a down comforter, and I don’t know if it’s something I can get out, even if I take it to the cleaners. Can it be cleaned or do I need to replace it?

We carefully examined him and he has a small scratch on his head, but otherwise he is normal. He is eating, playing, smiling, laughing … etc. It has been two and a half hours and he is ready for a nap. Should we let him sleep?

I dont know much about Futons other than I think that a wood frame is better than a metal one.
Anyone have a suggestion for a comfortable Futon that I can use in my apartment that can unfold when I have guests stay over on the weekends?
How about something that would work well in a small studio, as in a rough-around-the-edges artist’s studio, that I can nap on if I end up pulling an all-nighter.
thanks much
