I bought a fantastic Egyptian cotton duvet cover and a pair of pillow cases; they are luxuriously soft and a dream to sleep with.

For sometime now I have noticed the top of the cover has become noticeably discoloured. At first I thought it was the direct sunlight, I was correctly informed that the sun bleaches, so this would not be the culprit.

I wash it regularly with biological soap tablets and a 1/4 cup of white vinegar in place of fabric softener. I have a very good front loading washing machine too. I follow the care labels correctly also.

It could well be that it is just dirty, as it is the top of the duvet cover. I was hoping some one could give some ideas as to why it has changed colour, is it just a build up of dirt and if so why has it not been washed out?

The care label has the no bleach symbol, but does any one advise me to bleach and would it solve the problem? I thought this was the most likely solution.

I know there are many stain removing products on the market, but I am not sure comfortable I am with them. I don’t leave stains and wash to make sure things stay clean in the first place.

I saw a quilt made from photos. Each block was 12×12 and had a picture on it of a family member. The squares were made on a computer. What equipment do I need to do this? Please give very detailed instructions. I am not a sophisticated computer user.

I see all these great blankets in other photographer’s photos but I cannot find them anywhere. I’ve looked at every store and I’ve searched Etsy and ebay but I’m not finding them. Does anyone know of a website that sells homemade blankets meant for photography?

I have had difficulty finding a nice, colorful comforter that would look good with my sly blue room. My floor is new and its that fake wood stuff, and I also want a colorful rug on the floor. A lot of my stuff is very colorful and bold, so I want a comforter that it similar or that would compliment it.

I have a matching antique dining set and I want to identify the style/period of the furniture. The back of the chairs is similar to Queen Anne however, the legs are turned and straight (plumb from the corner of the seat to the floor) not carved or cabriolet. There is a lot of detail in the turning (wide, narrow, beads above globe and urn shapes with concave cutouts running vertically to the leg). The top of the legs are square as is the point where the cross bracing attaches to the leg. Sorry I am not familiar with antique terminology. Can anyone identify this style (I can provide photos) or point me to an easy to use visual reference?

Euro pillows are square and do not fill the length of a king bed. All those tidy photos advertising them are taken on queen sized beds.

How do you arrange these pillows, which generally lie against the headboard?

I just bought a new set and did some mixing and matching. I used four Euro pillows, facing inward and then added a fifth smaller square pillow in the center. I like how it looks, but with the decorative pillows it’s a bit too much.

Any ideas?

Im a 13 year old girl and I want to add one of my favorite colours (gold) to my light green(a spring green colour) and sky blue( just a little bit lighter than sky blue) (the colors are almost pastel) coloured room.
