I want to know the usual costs of box springs and mattresses when sold separtly.
Well, I was thinking of getting a platform bed though which would mean I wouldnt need a box spring(If i’m correct)… So that’s why I wanted the individual cost. Queen size.

It says it’s dimensions are 76 inches wide x 80 inches long x 8 inches deep. I’m only 16 so I have no idea about this kind of stuff. I’m not really smart. But, what platform bed with STORAGE shelves underneath would be the PERFECT size for this mattress?

Does a california king mattress fit in a regular eastern king platform bed? I have a queen and am planning on buying a cal king but can only find an eastern king platform bed that i like~

Hello. I’m currently planning out a whole new bedroom set for my room. I decided that since I’m getting bored with my current bedding, then I’ll just add a new bedding set to the online cart, for an extra 40 dollars. Well, the only bed that I could find to match the dresser was a platform bed. The bedding that I want includes a bed skirt, and it completes the whole set. Will a bed skirt look right on a platform twin bed? I don’t want to waste 40 dollars if it’s going to look strange. I’ll probably have a matress and boxspring on the bed, with the bedskirt on the boxspring. But I don’t know if the platform part will be bulkier than the boxspring, enough to be noticable. Thank you!

Can you use a bedskirt with a platform bed no boxspring and if so, how do you know what size to buy? My platform bed is a queen, and a queen bedskirt does not work. I really want to cover the bottom, so that is why the bedskirt is desirable.

I heard that not having a boxspring can cause back problems. Can I place the boxspring and mattress on the platform bed? Or would that look weird? I haven’t picked up the platform bed yet, I’m doing it this weekend.

Just put my daughter’s platform bed together and put the mattress on it. It is barely a half inch thick right now but is supposed to "grow" for 72 hours. How thick will it get? It looks more like a pad right now. A sheet won’t even stay on it at this size!

Hello I just recently bought a queen size memory foam mattress that’s ten inches thick and a platform bed to go along with it. I like the set up quite a bit but the only problem is that memory foam mattress, being very light, slides around quite easily on the platform bed. I was looking for some suggestions to help remedy that problem without actually changing the design of the platform bed, ex. adding a raised border.

I recently purchased a new queen-size platform bed; however I only bought the frame—I have yet to get a box spring or mattress. I am considering a waterbed mattress.

Does anyone know if a waterbed mattress would work properly for a standard bed frame?

I recently bought a platform bed, very nice…and as a gift, got a new mattress, its EXTRA firm, which if anyone has sat or slept on one is very very hard. Now i am trying to decide on either of the 2 options i linked below, both not too different in price, both cheaper than a new expensive mattress. One is a mattress in a box that is one-time decompressed, pretty cool and the other option are memory foam pads, one is 1/5" and another is 2". Most reviews from target customers say that the pads are great for improving mattresses (even firm ones). I’m torn and dont know anyone personally who has used either. Which do you think i should buy and do you have any experience with either? thanks soooo much. I really want to decide and purchase something new before the holidays and money is very very tight.

Also the mattress in a box I considered isnt to replace my mattress but i would just put on top of what i have since mine is hard like a boxspring, lol

Some of his friends said that the mattress needed to get some "air" so it wouldn’t get smelly/moldy/whatever. He is consdiering getting a platform bed which would eb fine with me too. But how would that be different that being on the floor other than giving it a little height?
