Is it weird to use a sleeping bag instead of a blanket on a bed?
It just seems like a sleeping bag is more efficient as it can be zipped up and virtually used anywhere in addition to being a blanket when opened up

Im going to this camp for a week at the end of June and on the checklist said to bring bed linens instead of a sleeping bag because we will be traveling immensely throughout the week and we will be sleeping in dorms. My mom bought me a sheet set: fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 sets of pillow cases. of course i know to bring a pillow..but what else should i bring a comforter or just a small fleece blanket since we will be traveling a lot. thanks for y’alls help!!!
This MAY be a stupid question, but I was wondering:
Because I am going on a month-long trekking expedition and I need a cotton sleeping-bag liner; would a normal king size cotton sheet (that goes on the bed) that has been sewed up the side and bottom do the same trick?
It’s just that a cotton sleeping bag liner costs around which I consider quite a rip off if I could just make one from a cotton sheet?
So would it be okay? I’ll be trekking in Costa Rica for a month with my school and it would save us all a lot of money that could be put towards our other kit items, or better yet, put towards the charity work we are doing over there.
Thank you
I’m going camping, I’ll be sleeping in a tent. We’re going to campgrounds, not just out in the woods lol. I’ll have a tent platform. Do I need an air mattress or will just a sleeping bad work?
I meant sleeping bag, not bad.
And will sleeping without an air mattress just be completely uncomfortable, like hard and painful? I’ve never been camping so idk what to expect or what a tent platform even is.
My cousin, who I haven’t seen for a long time, is coming over on Monday. She is 15, but acts much like me (who is 13) in terms of creativity. I have an odd need to decorate a small area of my living room (where she will be sleeping) as a cutesy "hotel room".
I already have set up a very small dresser-type-jewelry box on the second-to-the-bottom shelf of a bookcase. It has a writing pad and small box on top. Next to the "dresser" is a small mirror and matching box with mints in it. On the bottom shelf is a "table" I made with a shoebox with a cloth tablecloth. On top of that is a tiny vase (which will have a flower in it), a small glass, coaster, and a tealight candle. (when I get the sleeping bag/bed set up I’m going to put a chocolate on the pillow :3)
Do you think this is too extravagant, if you like the idea then could you lend me some more ideas. What else would you see at a fancy hotel?
I didn’t have a bible small enough to fit in the "dresser" so I put a mini dictionary in one of the drawers lol :3
My daughter is currently sleeping in a baby sleeping bag – I was wondering when I can put her in a bed make with a blanket etc in regards to safety & sids?
My baby sleeps in a Grobag sleeping bag now (she’s 7 months old). When did you switch your baby to a toddler bed with regular sheets, pillows, comforter, etc?
I’m not planning on giving my 7 month old a pillow.
I am 14 and go on campouts every month or so. On every one of these, I have wet the bed (sleeping bag) and it also happens once and a while at home. In the tents there are three people, and I don’t want them to find out I wet the bed sometimes. What should I do?
My two year old sleeps in a single bed, but up until now has still been in his Grobag. He’s tall for his age and is therefore getting too big for the sleeping bag, but when I try him under the duvet no matter how well I tuck it in he ends up uncovered and cold in the night.
Has anyone ideas on how to address this? I’ve seen duvet clips in the shops, but am not sure I like the idea of pinning him under the covers like that.
Okay, I don’t have bedbugs, but I’m worried that I’ll get them. If I get them, before calling the exterminators over should I sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag or does it not matter? I don’t want those creepy bugs getting anywhere near me.
I accidentally posted the same question again. Sorry about that.
My daughter is five years old. She is put to bed at 8:30pm. She will sleep in her own bed until 2:30am-3:30am then she will come in our bedroom and drag her sleeping bag in and sleep on the floor. This has been going on for 7 months. Last night she crawled in bed with my wife and I and woke us up. My wife left to sleep on the couch and my daughter kept me awake the remainder of the night. She says she’s "scared in her room", and that she is "lonely". I need to have her sleep in her own bed. I work 84-90hrs a week between 3 jobs. My wife is a stay at home mom. We have no relatives near us. My daughter is bright, smart, polite and sensative to peoples moods. She knows when something is wrong. How can I convince her to stay in her bed?
1. On the ground in a sleeping bag
2. In a tent on an air mattress
3. In the Camper/RV on a bed
I am going on the Inca trek in April. I have a down Mountain Designs Traveler 400 sleeping bag. It’s rated 1-10 degrees. Will that be enough for the trek or am I kidding myself completely. I have good qualities thermals I could alway wear to bed. Do you think I will be all right?
I KNOW I POSTED THIS SOMEWHERE ELSE DON’T COMMENT JUST TO TELL ME THIS, please, and thank you :3
How to make a cute "hotel room" setup? (read discription please)?
